Vizuelni efekti Crater Studija na Netflixu!

Krajem marta ove godine gledaoci širom sveta mogli su da pogledaju drugu sezonu američke crne komedije “A Series of Unfortunate Events”, u produkciji Netflixa.

Ova serija, koja je imala milionski budžet, osmišljena je prema dečjoj knjizi “Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events”, po kojoj je prethodno snimljen film.

Malo je poznato da su VFX artisti iz Srbije radili na ovom serijalu. Naime, Crater Studio je bio angažovan na dve epizode prve sezone zahvaljujući dugogodišnjoj uspešnoj saradnji sa vfx supervizorom, oskarovcem, Scott E. Andersonom.

Kreiranje vizuelnih efekata za Netlfix bilo je izuzetno iskustvo i jedan od većih projekata koje je Crater Studio do tada radio. Posebno je bilo interesantno uklopiti vizuelne efekte sa specifičnom estetikom, u stilu Ves Andersona.

Tokom tri meseca radilo se na 180 kadrova, od kojih se većina dešava u jednom brodiću na jezeru. Studijski je sve snimano, a artisti Crater Studija su imali zadatak da modeluju i animiraju pijavice po zadatom konceptu. Sekvenca na jezeru zahtevala je da se kreiraju noćno nebo i voda, i da se u estetskom smislu stvori pozorišni efekat.

Urađeno je i virtualno okruženje škole u koju idu glavni junaci serije, neobična deca Bodlerovih, kao i eksterijer kroz koji prolaze kolima.

VFX umetnici iz Cratera sa ponosom ističu i rad na jednoj velikoj sceni u pilani.

Ovo je samo jedan od velikih projekata na kojima je Crater radio od svog osnivanja 2007. godine. U portfoliju ovog studija nalazi se kreiranje vizuelnih efekata za nekoliko holivudskih blokbastera, kao što su veliki letnji hit „Shallows“ sa glumicom Blejk Lajvli, komedija „The Other Guys“, poznati horror film o ajkulama “Shark Night 3D” i “Point Break” – rimejk istoimenog filma iz 1991.

Pored toga studio radi na brojnim bolivudskim i nolivudskim projektima, kao i indie filmovima i reklamama za indijsko i evropsko tržište, a upravo je u produkciji i jedan kineski filmu.

Saradnja sa Netflixom, kao i sa nekoliko drugih produkcijskih kuća na navedenim projektima, potpomognuta je podsticajima za strane produkcije, koji su pre nekoliko godina uvedeni od strane Ministrarstva privrede Republike Srbije.
